Arrow is an Alberta company that provides archaeological and historical
services for government and private industry in Western Canada. With
operational bases in southern Alberta and southern British Columbia,
and close working relationships with First Nations personnel, Arrow
offers heritage-consulting services for a wide range of projects.
Arrow’s services include archaeological
and historical assessments for forestry developments (including
forest fire mitigation), water
projects, energy developments, subdivisions, recreational developments,
highway and road projects, communications projects, and cultural and
heritage developments. Recent projects include forest fire mitigation
in British Columbia and survey work at Writing-on-Stone Provincial
Park in Alberta.
Staff specialties include cultural/environment
interaction, cartography, Plains and montane archaeology, geoarchaeology,
paleoenvironmental reconstruction, human osteology, GIS applications,
lithic analysis, experimental archaeology, and public education.
Arrow is affiliated with the Association of Consulting Archaeologists in Alberta (ACA), the Saskatchewan Association of Professional Archaeologists (SAPA),
and the British Columbia Association of Professional Archaeologists (BCAPA).
