Alberta Heritage Resource Management Branch
In Alberta, the Heritage Resource Management Branch manages the identification, preservation, protection, study, interpretation and appreciation of historical resources under the auspices of the Alberta Historical Resources Act.

Alberta Listing of Significant Historical Sites and Areas
The Heritage Resource Management Branch maintains a listing of lands that contain, or are very likely to contain, significant historical resources. The Listing of Significant Historical Sites and Areas is available to the public to facilitate development planning and to indicate when historical resources investigations are necessary in advance of development.
